![]() Mine can vary but if Im not in exactly the right headspace I have a very difficult time doing the dishes, whether Ive taken my adhd meds or not.Īdmittedly it is difficult sometimes to say its one or the other because of the various cross overs, but understanding more expiences can help, as well as understanding that ADHD is (usually) related to the brains ability to create and use dopemine where as Autism is neurotype, which is to say its just the type of brain you were born with. One of the cross over things though is executive disfunction, where it can be difficult and painful to do certain tasks even if you have too. Thats said on weekends I often dont take my ADHD meds for one reason or another and these issues are lessend but I might struggle more with distraction. I now have a daily routine that does help, and it does cause some distress to have it interupted and/or changed but I am able to make those changes as needed and make up for it by indulging in my special interests or resting with my stuffed animal at home. Schedule keeping Im very much in the middle. However I dont do things like echolalia or going non verbal very much at all (still some instances but few and far between). Its important to note here, that when its called Autism Spectrum, thats not a reference to like, how "bad" the autism is on a line from 1 to 10, its a spectrum of experiences that Autistic people have, so even those without ADHD will experiences the different traits to different extents.įor instance I have a very difficult time with anything social if its not with people I feel close too.
